Our goal is to shed light on the interplay between technology and humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is SHINE?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>SHINE stands for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Social Robots<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Humans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interaction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Navigation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expectations \/ Ethics \/ Environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We explore how social robots affect and support people\u2019s lives in healthcare, care services, education, and the home \u2013 and how technology can be best adapted to human needs, values, and expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our mission<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To promote the understanding and development of meaningful and ethically responsible interactions between social robots and humans \u2013 in a changing society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our vision<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>SHINE aims to be a European lighthouse for research in social robotics.
